
Mehmet Nuri Ersoy
Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey
Born in 1968 in Istanbul, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy graduated from the German High School and then earned his degree in English Business Administration from Istanbul University. He entered the tourism sector and business world in 1985 while still in high school by working as a guide.
After completing his university education in 1991, he founded a company providing package tours and hotel accommodation services. In 2000, he ventured into the hospitality industry. After 33 years in the tourism sector, he was appointed as the Minister of Culture and Tourism by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the first cabinet of the Presidential Government System.
Upon starting his ministerial duties on July 9, 2018, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy relinquished all positions and titles within his company. He is fluent in German and English, is married to Pervin Ersoy, and has two children.
